Today, we bring you exciting news from the February 13th, City of Homestead Council Special Call Meeting, a momentous occasion where Dr. Nzeribe (Zerry) Ihekwaba was appointed as City Manager for the City of Homestead.
We Congratulate Dr. Ihekwaba on his appointment as the City Manager of Homestead, a role that underscores his distinguished career in public administration and engineering. Dr. Ihekwaba is extremely well-prepared to steer Homestead towards prosperity with his foundation in civil engineering from the University of Nigeria and a Ph.D. in Structural and Materials Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada.
Leading with Experience and Vision: Dr. Ihekwaba’s journey with the City of Miami as Deputy City Manager and Chief of Infrastructure, among other roles, has showcased his ability to navigate complex challenges. His leadership across various departments demonstrates a commitment to enhancing quality of living for residents through public engagement, transparency and accountability.
A Record of Achievements and Service: Earning recognition from the Miami City Commission and the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, Dr. Ihekwaba’s professional and community contributions are commendable. His affiliations with esteemed organizations such as the American Society of Civil Engineers highlight his dedication to advancing public works and infrastructure.
