Today, we reflect on and give thanks for the Southeast Regional Office for Hispanic Ministry and its Director, The Most Reverend Father Rafael Capó, who are positively impacting the lives of young Hispanics in our community.
This past Thursday, Marile and I were blessed to share our Catholic-life testimonials at the Young Hispanic Summer Leadership Institute — with an impressive and dynamic group of the next generation of Hispanic business, civic, religious and community leaders.
Marile and I were humbled and honored to share how living our Catholic faith has guided and impacted our personal, spiritual, family and professional growth.
We also shared the example of our five kids and especially our daughter Annia — and how her involvement in Miami’s Catholic Youth Group — Encuentros Juveniles — has helped her grow and live her faith.
Encuentros has became such an integral part of Annia’s formation that she has now taken up a leadership role in guiding her peers in service and expanding the group in our community.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight”.
– Proverbs 3:5-6
Marile and I are truly grateful to SEPI and our dearest friend Father Capó for inviting us to mentor our community’s youth in living their faith.
We ask you to please join us in empowering young Hispanics to be faithful missionary disciples and effective leaders in all aspects of their lives — by keeping them in your prayers and by donating to SEPI and thereby, the 7 million Hispanics in the Southeast region they serve.
