❗️Urgent Help Needed: Hurricane Helene’s Devastation

Hi Friends, Clients & Colleagues,

We hope you and your loved ones are safe.

The big picture: Hurricane Helene has become one of the most expansive and damaging storms on record for the Southeast. Its size, rapid intensification, and heavy rainfall have devastated multiple states.

  • The death toll is nearing 100 and likely to rise across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia.
  • Millions are without power.
  • Inland flooding in the Carolinas and unprecedented storm surge in Tampa have caused widespread damage.

Zoom in: Communities in North Carolina’s mountains have been hit hard. Flooding from the French Broad and Swannanoa Rivers swept through Asheville’s Biltmore Village and River Arts District. King Street in Boone turned into a river. I-40 is now a patchwork of closures.

Why it matters: We won’t know the full extent of the devastation for days, but the need for help is immediate.

How you can help:

  1. Donate: Every bit counts in providing essential services. Donate Today
  2. Volunteer: The Red Cross needs extra hands on the ground. Become a Volunteer
  3. Spread the word: Share this message and raise awareness.

What’s happening now:  The Red Cross is responding by:

  • Deploying 360 trained disaster workers and essential supplies.
  • Opening dozens of shelters.
  • Preparing 45,000 meals for those in need.
  • Ensuring blood products remain available for patients.

Bottom line: Your support can make a difference. By donating, volunteering, or sharing, you’ll help the Red Cross deliver critical aid to those affected by this devastating storm.

Thank you for your generosity and compassion.

Warmly,
