Greetings Friends, Clients & Colleagues,
Marile and I hope our annual World Cancer Day reflections and appeal finds you and yours well.
Appropriately, this year’s theme: “United by Unique“, captures the importance of placing people at the center of cancer care. As well as, recognizing that behind every diagnosis lies a personal story of hope, courage and resilience.
Like many of you, Marile and I have loved ones who’ve battled and won against this relentless disease. It is their courage and faith that fuels our commitment to continue to fight and make a difference.
One such inspiring story is our dear friend, Rudy Fernandez, Executive Vice President for University of Miami Operations and External Affairs & Chief of Staff.
Rudy is truly dedicated to working towards a future where every person’s unique journey is recognized and their care is provided with dignity and respect.
On February 22, Rudy will lead Team Hurricanes – Gables and Rosenstiel in the Dolphins Challenge Cancer XV (DCC XV) at Hard Rock Stadium—benefiting the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center‘s groundbreaking research.
Marile and I invite you to join us in supporting this vital cause. Your contribution—no matter the size—will make a significant impact on the lives of those affected by cancer right here in Miami.
To learn more about Rudy’s story and to donate, please visit Rudy’s DCC XV fundraising page.
On this, the 25th Annual World Cancer Day, let’s challenge cancer by being United by Unique.
As always, thank you for friendship and support.
Warm regards,
Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
