Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami

Downtown Miami is Miami’s bustling hub. In fewer than 10 years, its population has doubled in size, bringing new restaurants, bars, shops, parks, and world-class museums with them. It is also a culturally rich sector of Miami-Dade County, housing Miami’s first development boom in the 1910s and 1920s. It’s home to Miami’s earliest international attraction, Henry Flagler’s Royal Palm Hotel, which opened in 1897, and Freedom Tower, the entry point for Cuban refugees in 1959.
