Patriots’ Day 2020: “No day shall erase you from the memory of time.”

911 Memorial Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
As always, we hope this note finds you well.
Today, we commemorate Patriots’ Day and properly pause to remember that on September 11, 2001 these United States of America suffered a ruthless terrorist attack.
Our homeland was targeted for being a God-fearing and freedom-loving nation and as a result of bitter hatred — nearly 3,000 innocent individuals died.
This year, as in every year since that fateful day — Marile and I reflected with our children and parents on how the horror of the morning of September 11th became a defining moment in our nation’s history.
We ask them to always remember this day — when ordinary human beings, living ordinary lives, reacted with extraordinary heroism when faced with the ultimate challenge and personal sacrifice.
On September 11th , terrorists threatened our freedoms and our faith — but we stood strong — a testament to the strength and resolve of ALL American and our values and character.
Despite this attack, our American values stood taller and stronger than ever. We showed that we may be shaken, but we will never fall.
Marile and I joined our family in prayer and shared a moment of reflection for those fallen heroes —
It is fitting and proper that we pay tribute to those victims and first responders alike, who lost their lives in the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, at the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Our family joins in prayer for their souls and for the families and loved ones they left behind. We also pray for the men and women in uniform who serve our country so proudly, and have made the ultimate commitment to keep us safe and free.
Fittingly, we remember and repeat the words etched on the walls on the 9/11 Memorial —
On September 11, 2001 our values were challenged — but we did not falter — because we are truly a nation “under God”.
God Bless America!
Warmest Regards,
