We hope our reflections honoring the life and sacrifice of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. finds you and yours well.
Dr. King was an inspirational leader who shaped the history of our Nation in many great ways.
Marile and I often reflect with our children that one of the most timeless and important lessons Dr. King taught us all — “Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.”
Accordingly, today we will join our extended Miami HEAT family in acts of service for others.
The HEAT will collaborate with World Central Kitchen to purchase and deliver meals to 1,000 frontline healthcare workers at 29 COVID testing sites throughout Miami-Dade County as a gesture of our gratitude in helping to keep our community safe.
Healthcare workers have been working around the clock, day and night, providing COVID testing & vaccinations to an unprecedented number on a daily basis in our community – higher than at any point in time since the start of the pandemic.
