❗Update: Mayor Levine Cava Proposed FY2023-24 County Budget

In line with our continuous commitment to providing you our friends, clients and colleagues with the latest in legislative and industry trends, we are pleased to bring to your attention that Mayor Daniella Levine Cava has presented her proposed Miami Dade County budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024, amounting to $11.6 billion.

To give you a brief overview:

  • The budget includes a 1% property tax cut and a gas tax holiday, totaling over $36 million in savings for residents.
  • The proposed budget has been designed to prioritize investment in housing, transportation, small businesses, the environment, families, and public safety.
  • Key investments include expanding the inventory of workforce and affordable housing, improving the transit system, funding crime prevention programs, protecting the environment, supporting small businesses, and providing opportunities for families and older adults.
