Happy Veterans Day,
We hope our brief reflection finds you and yours well.
Today, we join our fellow Americans in celebrating the true heroes among us — those brave men and women who proudly answer the call to protect our nation, its citizens and our American way of life.
In doing so, we acknowledge that the blanket of security which we all enjoy does not come freely; rather, it is composed of millions of strands, representing the sacrifices each and every veteran has made for us.
Many of us have family members and friends who sacrifice everything to protect us.
We are especially proud of my cousin Mike Lopez, an Army veteran of the first Gulf War.
We pray for the safe return of those currently serving and thank veterans who have returned and continue serving their hometown as police, firefighters, healthcare workers, and first responders — our Hometown Heroes.
May God Bless you and your family — and these United States of America.
Warmest personal regards,
Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
