Today, we recognize all moms and those who have taken up the role of moms — these special women, who are our greatest inspiration, source of love, and encouragement.
As we reflect on Scripture, we are reminded —
“Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and
do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
They are a garland to grace your head and
a chain to adorn your neck.”
Proverbs 1:8-9
While on this day, we explicitly celebrate all mothers — in truth every day is mother’s day!
I encourage our children to make a special effort today — and every day — to show Marile and their grandmothers, that their nurturing and love are well appreciated.
At home today, our family is truly Blessed to have celebrated with Marile and our moms — Maria Elena and Sarah.
In our lives, our moms have been a beacon of light — always burning bright, guiding us and providing a sense of hope and confidence.
Our moms’ love has transcended time and space, always reassuring us that we are never alone. Its endurance and depth are matched only by the sense of caring and protection that it has brought us.
Marile and I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day, and we hope you spend it in the company of family and loved ones.
