Dear Friends, Clients and Colleagues,
As always we hope our brief message finds you safe and healthy.
You may have seen in the latest news, that nearly 1.2 million people, including 540,000 children, have been impacted by the 7.2-magnitude earthquake which struck southwestern Haiti on Saturday morning, according to UNICEF.
The quake left at least 1,941 people dead and more than 6,900 injured.
Regrettably, that toll is expected to rise in the coming days.
Thankfully, many organizations have moved quickly to provide relief and aid to the people of Haiti.
Haitian Red Cross staff and volunteers are responding alongside local authorities as well as other humanitarian organizations to help with first aid, search-and-rescue operations and sheltering efforts throughout the affected region.

Additionally, Father Reginald Jean-Mary, administrator of Notre Dame d’Haiti Mission, is collecting items for Haiti relief — he’s been told through his direct contacts in Haiti that rescuers need flashlights, batteries, backpacks, generators and medicine.
Father Jean-Mary is willing to gather these items — no clothing or any other supplies — at his parish Notre Dame d’Haiti, 110 N.E. 62 Street, Miami for shipment to Haiti.

We know that our Haitian brothers and sisters are strong and will persevere, with prayers and support.
We encourage you to donate to the charity of your choice to aid those in need in Haiti.
As always, Marile and I thank you for your friendship and continued support.
Warmest regards,
Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
