#ElectionsMatters: Are You Elections Ready?

Happy Tuesday Friends, Clients & Colleagues,

As always, I hope this new #ElectionsMatters note finds you and yours well.

Our democracy is in full swing — even under COVID-19 restrictions — with just 6 weeks to the General Elections, on November 3rd.

We have many important decisions to make, including — who will be President, represent us in Congress, Florida House & Senate, County Mayor & Commissioners, and more.

Voting is a core principle of being American, but to exercise this basic right, we must be registered to vote!

That’s why we are proud supporters of the National Voter Registration Day, which happens to be today.

Eligible citizens can register to vote anytime but should know that the registration deadline for every election is 29 days prior to Election Day.

Registration closes — Monday, October 5, 2020

Eligible citizens can register to vote online at www.registertovoteflorida.gov.

It’s simple, it’s free, and it’s secure.

In Miami-Dade County there are many official agencies where eligible citizens can register in person or get a voter registration form:

  • Elections Department
  • Florida Driver License Bureau
  • Miami-Dade County Public Libraries
  • County Government offices
  • Any state public assistance agencies
  • Armed Forces recruiting offices
