Your are cordially invited to the free Innovators Series: Political Advocacy Activities of Nonprofits hosted by PhilanthropyMiami on Wednesday, April 20 starting at 10AM.

Just in time for the next election cycle this next fall — this program will provide 501(c)(3) organizations, Board members, professional staff and volunteers with insights and helpful information about effective advocacy efforts, differentiating between allowable advocacy efforts and prohibited political activity.

Specifically, the program will cover lobbying, prohibited political campaign intervention and the affiliated 501(c)(3) / 501(c)(4) structure.

The program will be moderated by Kristina Raattama, Esq. (MK Consulting LLC) an attorney specializing in nonprofit law.

Careshia Moore, President and CEO of a 501©(3) youth development organization, (Usher’s New Look, Atlanta) and the Executive Director of a 501©4 social welfare organization which has an affiliated 501(c)(3) foundation,

Orlando Gonzales, CEO of SAVE LGBTQ a 501©(3) and a 501©(4) affiliated entities, which is South Florida based and engaged in advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ community.​
