Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues:
We hope this post finds you and yours well.
Hurricane Season for the Atlantic Ocean starts today, June 1st, and goes until November 30, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
We have a long history with hurricanes, including the 1926 Miami Hurricane, and Hurricanes Andrew and Wilma. We know how essential is to be ready to save lives, property and stay connected with family and friends.
The American Red Cross recommends an action plan for hurricane preparedness. This plan consists of 7 items:
- Plan to evacuate
- Plan to shelter safely
- Gather supplies
- Stay connected
- Learn emergency skills
- Prepare your home for wind
- Prepare your home for flooding
You can learn more about them in the Red Cross website or in our blog post.
Floridians can purchase disaster preparedness supplies exempt from tax during the 2023 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday.
Thank you for reflecting with us. We cherish your friendship and support.
Warmest personal regards,
Marile & Jorge Luis Lopez, Esq.
