Marile Lopez is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the Jorge Luis Lopez Law Firm, a governmental affairs firm representing Municipal Governments, Florida 100 and Fortune 500 companies at the federal, state and local levels. As CFO, she manages the financial reporting, income taxes, accounts receivable, drafting of contracts and investments for the firm.

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Lopez founded and served as Creative Director for Maria Elena Headpieces, a successful multi-million dollar bridal accessory company which designs, manufactures, and sells products to high end wedding boutiques internationally.

Mrs. Lopez is also dedicated to giving back to the community, serving in leadership roles in a number of non-profit and charitable organizations in the Miami-Dade and South Florida community. She is Chair for the Miami Children’s Health (MCH) Foundation, assisting in formulating strategic MCH Foundation policies and plans and securing financial support for the not-for-profit organization. She and her husband, Jorge Luis Lopez, chaired the MCH Diamond Ball in 2012 and 2013, raising $4.3 million in 2012 and $5.2 million in 2013. Mrs. Lopez also serves on the Miami Children’s Hospital Board and the Miami Children’s Health System Board.

She serves as Board Member of the American Cancer Society’s Miami-Dade unit and also served as Chair of the 2011 “White Out Cancer” Gala.

She has also devoted time to the National YoungArts Foundation. She and Mr. Lopez chaired the 2013 YoungArts Gala. She also served as Chair of the 2012 YoungArts Miami Council and as Gala Committee Chair for the 2011 YoungArts Gala.  Mrs. Lopez also sits on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade and serves on the FIU President’s Council and the American Red Cross Ball committee, where she and Mr. Lopez will serve as the 2015 Ball Chair.

Mrs. Lopez received the American Cancer Society Exceptional Achievement Award in 2011, the St. Jude’s Honor Award for Philanthropic Work in 2012 and James W. McLamore Volunteer of the Year Award and American Cancer Society’s InnerCircle of 12 in 2013. During 2014 , Mrs. Lopez has been awarded with numerous recognitions, including by Neiman Marcus Coral Gables during the Honoring Women Who Have Influenced the Community with Outstanding Charitable Causes, by the Archdiocese of Miami with the Virtue of Charity Award, the 2014 Charles “Bebe” Rebozo Humanitarian Award and by the Women’s Fund with the Mujeres Giving Back Treasure Award.

Mrs. Lopez received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Florida International University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and holds an Associate’s degree from Miami-Dade College.

Marile and her husband, Jorge Luis Lopez, live in Coconut Grove, Florida, with their five children, AR, Carli, Annia, Saramelia and Luis Jorge.
